WWE NXT Takeover XXX Betting Tips

NXT Takeover XXX, initially meant to take place in Boston, hails from Full Sail University on Saturday, August 22nd, 2020.

It features a couple of multiple person matches. There is The Triple Threat match to see who the #1 contenders are for the Tag Team Championships, and also the Ladder Match to see who will win the NXT North American Championship which Keith Lee just vacated.

Speaking of – Lee has a big title defense taking place against Karrion Kross.

There is only one womans match on the show and it is Io Shirai vs Dakota Kai.

We’ve also got Adam Cole vs Pat McAfee.

NXT Takeover XXX Betting Tips:

Tag Team #1 Contenders Triple Threat: Personally I think they should get Breezango in the feud for the tag titles, have them recreate the Fashion Files and try and capture the NCIS crowd. This is a really tough one honestly. El Legado are the priority team so should win however with Imperium as champions, it’d make more sense for Lorcan & Burch to win. I’ll take Breezango to concede the defeat for 1/4u at +134 odds. That way the other two teams aren’t hurt by the loss.

Io Shirai vs Dakota Kai: Obviously there is no chance of betting here unless we believe Dakota Kai wins. However the star rating of the Wrestling Observer is listed at 3.5 stars and we can bet over or under that. Shirai has a pretty good run of over 4 star matches at most Takeover events. The only one that went under was the 4 way in New York. Kai is generally below 3.5 and it’s a question of whether Dakotai Kai can be carried above it or not. I don’t normally do star ratings but I’d wager 1/4u on Under 3.5 Stars at -134 odds.

Adam Cole vs Pat McAfee: Cole is the likely winner of this one. I wouldn’t be shocked if Pat McAfee won to be honest for a few reasons, however I’m not putting money where my mouth is. I’ve went back and watched matches featuring non-wrestlers, and a common trope is them to “shock” the actual wrestler and get the first near fall. I’m doing a 1/4u bet on Pat McAfee to get the first near fall at +100.

Keith Lee vs Karrion Kross: I think it is way too soon for them to have Keith Lee drop the title. Especially after winning that title vs title match. I mean maybe they hotshotted a lot of that but it seems crazy for them to simply drop the titl ehere.

In saying that they have went all in on Karrion Kross. So this is a very tough one where I feel Lee losing would be the wrong move however with Kross being the underdog, I’d actually lean on him to win. I’m not going to bet this one but it is very intriguing.

NXT North American Championship Ladder Match: I’d have to say that with them having a program on the go, Priest or Grimes are the ones to win. I’m a bit of a Priest mark so I think he should be the one to take it. I enjoy him a lot. I’ll do 1/4u on Priest to win although if you are looking for an upset pick, Cameron Grimes is the best play.
