WWE Backlash 2023 Betting Tips

Tonight is WWE Backlash, 2023.

The odds aren’t great for a lot of the matches and that is not a surprise.

There have legitimately been four betting upsets in the history of Backlash.

Last year we saw an upset as The Bloodline at +200 defeated Drew, Randy & Riddle.

In hindsight, not a surprise as WWE kept the Bloodline strong all year long.

Let’s look at the odds:

• Seth Rollins (-1000) vs Omos (+500)
• Cody Rhodes (-300) vs Brock Lesnar (+200)
• Bad Bunny (-2000) vs Damian Priest (+700)
• Riddle, Owens, Sami (-250) vs The Bloodline (+170)
• Bianca Belair (-2000) vs Iyo Sky (+700)
• Rhea Ripley (-10000) vs Zelina Vega (+1100)
• Austin Theory (-2000) vs Bronson Reed (+500) vs Bobby Lashley (+700)

Those….aren’t great. You can see why I didn’t do a podcast for this show. Not much to talk about.

WWE Backlash 2023 Betting Tips:

Alright let’s see.

Cody losing – I just cannot see it. They’ve had stuff set in stone related to this for a few months. So they must have thought that Cody would lose to Roman, then redeem himself by beating Brock. Makes sense.

I’m so done with Bianca as champ, but WWE don’t appear to be. I can’t see her losing.

I also can’t see them putting Damian Priest over. It’s not like that stable needs the wins with the heat that Dom gets. They all love Bad Bunny and man, WWE having him lose here in front of this crowd would be….well, peak Vince hometown booking I guess. Can’t see it.

Yeah Rhea ain’t losing unless she has some undisclosed injury or something. Theory should retain.

The only two I am remotely considering are Omos to beat Seth, and The Bloodline to win.

The Bloodline match? I mean this is the last one before they switch to different brands I guess. It depends how WWE feel about The Bloodline. If they are going to push internal turmoil as the next chapter, or if they are going to build them back to being stronger than ever.

At +170 odds, I just don’t think there is enough value to wager on that. I gotta think the faces win.

With Seth? I dunno. It depends how WWE feel about Omos. if they want to actually try and make something out of him, or if like the Brock match, they’ve booked this for the spectacle of “the worlds highest curb stomp” or something.

With Night of Champions coming up, I feel like they’re going to use this to put Seth over more.

Yeah – no bets for me on this one.
