WWE Fast Lane 2017 Betting Tips

WWE Fastlane 2017 takes place this weekend. Like any pay per view sandwiched between Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania – the results generally seem obvious.

That’s not to say there isn’t the odd surprise. At Elimination Chamber a couple of weeks ago for example, Naomi was a +205 underdog and won. Apollo Crews and Kalisto were underdogs and won as well.

In 2015 Ryback was a +900 underdog at Elimination Chamber and he came out the winner in a big surprise. Dean Ambrose was also a +500 underdog then and he won via DQ.

This year we have a lot of heavy favouritres such as Strowman, Goldberg, Jax and Samoa Joe. Actually let’s look at the odds now:

WWE Fastlane 2017 Betting Odds:

  • Goldberg (-900) vs Kevin Owens (+500)
  • Braun Strowman (-2000) vs Roman Reigns (+1000)
  • Neville (-280) vs Jack Gallagher (+200)
  • Gallows/Anderson (-300) vs Enzo/Big Cass (+220)
  • Charlotte Flair (-900) vs Bayley (+500)
  • Nia Jax (-1500) vs Sasha Banks (+700)
  • Samoa Joe (-1500) vs Sami Zayn (+700)
  • Swann/Tozawa (-195) vs Kendrick/Dar (+155)

WWE Fastlane 2017 Betting Tips & Analysis:

Goldberg (-900) vs Kevin Owens (+500) Really hard to see anything other than a Goldberg domination here. There has been a lot of interesting moves on the betting market on this one and I’m tempted very slightly to bet on Owens. I just can’t advise it though even for a quarter unit.

Braun Strowman (-2000) vs Roman Reigns (+1000) This could actually end up being a really good match. I’ve been a fan of Strowman since he debuted. There was just something about him I really dug. I’m looking forward to it and I love the way WWE has kept with him. However I’ve got to advise half a unit bet on Roman Reigns. I’m sure it’s just throwing money away but have you seen the way WWE book Reigns over the last couple of years? Add in a potential DQ finish etc and I’m all bloody over this one. Great price. Meltzer says he expects a gimmicked finish and so I feel this is good value.

Neville (-280) vs Jack Gallagher (+200) Surely Neville wins here. I can’t see different. I’ll take Neville to win.

Gallows/Anderson (-300) vs Enzo/Big Cass (+220) I’m very tempted by Enzo/Cass here. I think they’re destined for the titles but Mania would be the expected option. WWE may throw a curveball. I’m fine with half a unit on them.

Charlotte Flair (-900) vs Bayley (+500) The only story going is Charlottes PPV record. Can’t see it being beaten here. No bet.

Nia Jax (-1500) vs Sasha Banks (+700): Sometimes I feel with the RAW division that they just flip a coin to decide the winner. There seems to be no long term planning and I’m fine with a 1/4 unit bet on Sasha here.

Samoa Joe (-1500) vs Sami Zayn (+700): Over the years, Sami Zayn has shown that losses don’t hurt him. Just the opposite – they help him in his classic underdog role. WWE have booked Joe like a monster so far and I can’t see that changing. However there’s always the possibility of a DQ win for Zayn with the way Joe has been acting lately. I can’t see it but at these odds its worth a quarter unit bet especially if they do something with Joe/Rollins at Mania.

Swann/Tozawa (-195) vs Kendrick/Dar (+155): I can’t see past Swann and Tozawa winning here. However it’s one of those matches where the result honestly doesn’t matter in the long term at all so I can’t advise a bet on them.

WWE Fastlane 2017 Betting Picks:

Here are my picks. Most are just hoping for a big upset.

  1. 1/4 unit bet on Sami Zayn
  2. 1/2 unit bet on Roman Reigns
  3. 1/4 unit bet on Sasha
  4. 1/2 unit bet on Enzo/Cass to win
  5. Unit bet on Neville to win
