The biggest PPV event of November, AEW Full Gear, takes place on November 7th 2020 and it’s a pretty damn stacked card.
It features Jon Moxley defending the AEW World Championship against Eddie Kingston. The mic work of both of them – especially Eddie Kingston – has been incredible leading into this.
Cody will defend the AEW TNT Championship against Darby Allin, and FTR will defend their titles against the Young Bucks. If the Bucks lose then they said they will not be challenging for the titles again.
We’ve also got Chris Jericho vs MJF. Oh and who could forget a match a year in the making in Adam “Hangman” Page vs Kenny Omega.
Let’s get right into the betting odds then the tips:
MJF (-400) vs Chris Jericho (+250):
I’d be surprised if MJF doesn’t join the Inner Circle. That’s what it is all leading to it seems. No bet though.
Matt Hardy (-177) vs Sammy Guevara (+125):
This is a rematch from the last PPV which was a disaster. Feels like it has been going on long enough and that Matt should give Sammy the rub and move on. 1/4u on Sammy Guevera to win. It’s a final deletion match etc so there’s also a strong possibility Matt wins.
Orange Cassidy (-1000) vs John Silver (+500):
This could actually be the sleeper match on the card. Two excellent wrestlers. I’m looking forward to it.
Cody (-162) vs Darby Allin (+115):
It appears this was the long term plan. Cody had to switch the title briefly to Brodie Lee. I’m not convinced Darby wins here but based on previous matches with Cody he really should unless Cody wins with a proper heel turn or something. Hopefully they pull the trigger on Darby here. 1/4u on Darby as I am still a wee bit concerned about Cody.
The Young Bucks (-150) vs FTR (+108):
This is such a tough call. AEW seem to be really strict with their stipulations. Unless they have some real long term plans, Bucks losing would really be shooting themselves in the foot. I’m going to do 1/2u on the Young Bucks winning because I think it would be a dumb decision. Although it may make sense in hindsight.
Hikaru Shida (-278) vs Nyla Rose (+190):
There’s really no big motivation going into this match other than the rankings system. I think AEW have the ability to mix it up but I don’t feel confident enough that they’d do that here with Nyla. I give it a slight possibility but think Shida holds on for longer. At that price Nyla is worth 1/4u. I have my reasons.
Jon Moxley (-3335) vs Eddie Kingston (+800):
I love Eddie and everything he has been doing. However it’s hard to see Mox losing here. Mox vs Omega seems to be the long term plan. Mox obviously not bettable at those odds.
Kenny Omega (-835) vs Adam “Hangman” Page (+425):
Long term plans appear to be Omega going up against Mox so just makes sense he would win here.
