NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 16 Night 1 Betting Tips

Wrestle Kingdom 16 is here!

I’m so excited. I still prefer the G1 Climax but Wrestle Kingdom is a close second. Such a spectacular event and I am really looking forward to it.

I believe it all starts at 2am EST so I’ll be waking up about 5am and getting the replay on I expect.

There are two nights and I am going to cover Night 1 Betting Odds here and then tomorrow I will write up a post covering Night 2.

Let’s get to it.

First the big question:

NJPW Wrestle Kingdom Betting Odds:

• SHO (-167) vs Yoh (+120)
• Horoshi Tanahashi / Mega Coaches (-190) vs Bullet Club (+134)
• United Empire (-177) vs Los Ingobernables de Japon (+125)
• EVIL (-177) vs Tomohiro Ishii (+125)
• Chaos (-155) vs Dangerous Tekkers (+110)
• Hiromu Takahashi (-230) vs El Desperado (+160)
• Kazuchika Okada (-190) vs Shingo Takagi (+134)

NJPW Wrestle Kingdom Betting Tips:

I’ll go from top to bottom down and bold anyone I am looking to bet.

In the main event I expect Okada to win, and unfortunately at -190 he is not worth betting. However I believe this is a big reset, so I do recommend betting Will Ospreay to be the winner tomorrow night at +105 odds currently at non-US Sportsbook (Americans: Bet at BetOnline).

I was hoping that El Desperado odds would become bettable – and I think they just might be. Desperado has gained in popularity lately, and him winning on this big stage would be huge. I don’t love it but happy to bet 1/4u on El Desperado.

I feel that Dangerous Tekkers will lose so that ZSJ can get the singles run. Even at -155, I think Chaos are worth a 1/4u bet.

I love Ishii but I think EVIL gets the win. Ishii will sadly go 0-4 in singles matches at Wrestle Kingdom. Really hope I am wrong there but no bet for me.

With the big Ospreay match, United Empire need the win here. Even at -177 odds, I’d risk to win 1/2u on United Empire.

I expect Tanahashi & Co to win, and SHO has to win too. We said on the podcast to bet on SHO and clearly you listened as the odds are now unbettable. That’s why you should subscribe to the podcast!
