NXT Takeover: Brooklyn Betting Tips

This is a fun one – for the first time in our history, we get to both bet AND tip on an NXT event.

NXT Takeover: Brooklyn takes place Saturday, August 22nd with a huge card featuring the debut of Apollo Crews, aka Uhaa Nation. That should be pretty darn awesome.

We’ve also got Jushin Thunder Freakin’ Liger in action, as he takes on Tyler Breeze. Only in the WWE.

The main event is of course Finn Balor vs Kevin Owens as Owens hopes to regain the NXT Championship in a ladder match. WWE have had fun with this – by doing future tapings already and having people come out with the championship. There will be spoilers talking about those FYI – although we expect them to be red herrings.

NXT Takeover: Brooklyn Betting Tips & Analysis:

Finn Balor (2/5) vs Kevin Owens (7/4): Owens seems really set in the main roster now. While he can perform double duty for sure and we wouldn’t be surprised if he continues in NXT – we see it more likely that Owens will lose.

We’re taking Finn Balor, but the odds are short so we recommend a double with the below pick…

Sasha Banks (7/4) vs Bayley (2/5): Bayley. Add her to the double. This is the perfect time for WWE to pull the trigger. They just have to – Bayley is so freaking over and NEEDS this title huge. Sasha being on the WWE roster just helps that. Add both Balor and Bayley as a double.

Blake & Murphy (8/11) vs The Vaudevillains (Evens): This is a tough one. It could go either way and when we feel it’s 50/50 you might want the added value of the underdogs. But in saying that – are NXT really going to do 3 title changes on the one show? This is a risky one we’d recommend staying away from.

Tyler Breeze (8/13) vs Jushin Liger (6/5): We feel there is value on Liger here. We’re sure he would be quite happy to do the job – and Breeze going over a legend could be good for him. But also being a sore loser and having a great match would work just as well too. We’re going to take the risk here on Liger at that price. They put Jericho over Balor – anything can happen.

Samoa Joe (5/4) vs Baron Corbin (8/15): Hard to see Corbin losing here. But we can see Joe taking it too – will be staying away from but cheering on Joe.
