NXT Takeover War Games 2020 Betting Predictions & Tips

This Sunday, we have another NXT Takeover event and it’s an extra special one as it is Wargames.

These NXT Takeover shows are always good but you don’t need me to tell you that!

We have 5 matches on the card that we can bet on plus some sportsbooks have event props too such as star ratings.

I must admit I’m personally looking forward to the triple threat the most.

That’s a storyline that I have really got invested in and I love what they are doing with Priest.

Let’s check out the odds before we get to the actual betting tips:

NXT Takeover: War Games 2020 Betting Odds:

• Dexter Lumis (-345) vs Cameron Grimes (+225)
• Tommaso Ciampa (-250) vs Timothy Thatcher (+175)
• Team Shotzi (-400) vs Team Candice (+250)
• Team McAfee (-162) vs The Undisputed Era (+115)
• Leon Ruff (+105) vs Johnny Gargano (+180) vs Damien Priest (+200)

NXT Takeover: War Games 2020 Betting Tips:

Dexter Lumis (-345) vs Cameron Grimes (+225):God. I love Grimes but this whole thing with Lumis is just absolute death. I hate it so freaking much. This is probably just wishful thinking but I am going to back Cameron Grimes to win for 1/4u. Just one of those matches where I really don’t think it matters who wins and Grimes has enough appeal to sneak the win.

Tommaso Ciampa (-250) vs Timothy Thatcher (+175): It just feels like the natural progression is Ciampa to win here and feud with Balor. I won’t bet it at these odds but I am pretty sure Ciampa takes it. Just would be really weird seeing Thatcher win and I can’t see it.

Team Shotzi (-400) vs Team Candice (+250): I actually feel like we could see an upset here with Team Candice winning. However I’ve tried to convince myself to back it and even at those odds – juicy as they are – I can’t. Might be worth a bet just for fun but I can’t justify it.

Team McAfee (-162) vs The Undisputed Era (+115): I am very tempted by Undisputed Era. I mean they are a freaking stable. They should win this for sure. However Pat McAfee lost to Cole at XXX and I’ve got to think he gets the win here.

Leon Ruff (+105) vs Johnny Gargano (+180) vs Damien Priest (+200): He’s the biggest underdog of all – but man I think this would be a good time for Priest to win. I don’t think Ruff is someone they really want to invest in too much. This could go quite a few ways obviously. I think there is a possibility Priest loses and moves up to the NXT Championship after this however I feel like there is also a good chance Priest wins here. Yeah it’s likely that Ruff sneaks a win due to Priest hitting a big move on Gargano etc – I mean it’s WWE that’s what happens. However I have a sneaky suspicion we see an upset here. 1/4u on Priest to win. Of course I am a Priest mark so maybe that’s why. I think he gets a run with this though while Ciampa moves up.
