WWE Money in the Bank 2016 will take place on June 19th, 2016 from Las Vegas. Guess this means no RAW Roulette? Was always something different and fun. So hopefully they do something different for this PPV due to it hailing from Vegas.
From a wrestling perspective it looks to be a tremendous show. You’ve got two exciting matches with multiple participants in the Money in the Bank match, as well as the tag team match. Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins is the headliner and that should be great – and even with all of that, the best match of the card will most likely end up being John Cena vs AJ Styles.
One of the better wrestling PPVs we’ve seen in awhile. Looking forward to it. However with the potential brand split that makes it bloody hard to predict – although that will also mean more PPVs in the future to bet on so I can’t complain. But with just a few weeks until the brand split, I have to factor that into the results too so that makes things a lot tougher than just looking at how Summerslam could line up.
Let’s check out the odds….
All odds are taken from http://www.5Dimes.com.
Roman Reigns (-350) vs Seth Rollins (+250) This is such a tricky one. I’m sure Roman Reigns goes over and all things considered that’s not the worst price. But is Seth Rollins going to return and immediately lose? They’ve been teasing Ambrose coming in here for a 3-way Shield match-up. It’s possible – but also possible is Ambrose vs Rollins in their own little feud. Or maybe they want to headline Battleground with those 3 with it being the last time they meet due to being split up in the brand split? See all the bloody difficult questions there is with this? I think there’s a slight possibility that Seth Rollins gets some sort of DQ win, so I’m happy to bet a small one on that.
Money in the Bank: Kevin Owens (-160) vs Dean Ambrose (+225) vs Chris Jericho (+700) vs Cesaro (+1200) vs Sami Zayn (+3000) vs Alberto Del Rio (+3000) Obviously they have been teasing Ambrose winning for a Shield 3-way cash-in but I just can’t see it. I don’t think there’ll be any major moves like that this close to the brand split. I’m going to stick with the favourite here and bet the always excellent Kevin Owens to pick up the win here and the briefcase. He should be amazing in that role as well.
AJ Styles (-190) vs John Cena (+150) Quite rare to see John Cena as an underdog. Everyone seems to be thinking Styles gets the Owens treatment which is why he is the favourite here – Styles goes over once then Cena goes over in the next few matches. It’s possible for sure – however I think there are just too many reasons as to why we should be betting on a John Cena win. First of all he’s John freaking Cena – rarely an underdog. Second – he just came back from injury and I can’t see him coming back to lose. Third – remember Sting vs HHH at Wrestlemania last year? We won big on that one by betting HHH with it being the whole WWE vs WCW deal. This is similar to that with WWE vs TNA. I’m happy to bet a full unit on Cena to beat AJ Styles.
The New Day (-185) vs The Club (+220) vs Enzo & Cass (+650) vs The Vaudevillains (+2000) An interesting one with a lot of possibilities. I can’t see Enzo & Cass winning the titles this early. I’m going to bet on the Club to win. I dig the odds, and if you go by old school booking logic then they can win it without pinning New Day. Always some easy heat.
Rusev (-650) vs Titus O’Neil (+420) Surely Rusev wins but I just can’t bet him at those odds.
