Welcome to the 2021 WWE Royal Rumble Betting Tips.
The Royal Rumble takes place this Sunday. We’ve got a couple of matches, and of course the womens rumble and the mens rumble.
Unlike my usual articles, I won’t list the odds here. You can head on over to my WWE Royal Rumble 2021 Betting Odds article if you want to see the current odds and historical odds.
I also wrote an article listing Every Royal Rumble Betting Upset Ever.
The Mens Royal Rumble currently has Daniel Bryan as favourite at -112, followed by Edge at +225, Brock Lesnar at +450 and then Keith Lee at +900.
The Womens Royal Rumble has Bianca Belair as the favourite but it’s tight. She is +175 with Alexa at +225. Rhea Ripley is at +350 then (always bet on) Charlotte Flair is at +600.
Becky Lynch is +700 and Ronda Rousey is +850.
Let’s get straight into the tips covering the individual matches and then the Rumble itself:
Drew McIntyre (-295) vs Bill Goldberg (+200): Probably the best bet for this is the prop bet of over/under 3 minutes. You can bet that at non-US Sportsbook (Americans: Bet at BetOnline) and I like the under.
I just can’t see anything other than Drew winning. In saying that everyone said the same last year when Goldberg beat The Fiend. So hey who knows. I wouldn’t bet on it though. Feels like this should be used to further elevate Drew.
Nia & Shayna (-200) vs Asuka & Charlotte (+150): This almost seems like a ripe spot for ABOC (Always Bet On Charlotte) to kick in. I don’t even know why they put the belts on them. A flip does seem expected. It’s also expected that they do something with Charlotte and Lacey so surely Charlotte doesn’t need the belt at this point.
Honestly I expect to lose this one, but I’m invoking ABAC. 1/4u on Asuka & Charlotte winning. WWE love to flip titles like this in spots like this but when the result seems obvious they also like to mix it up so I think it balances out.
Roman Reigns (-2000) vs Kevin Owens (+650): Seems right. No bet.
Womens Royal Rumble: It’s so incredibly tight at the top. I can’t see Charlotte winning again. I think Lacey eliminates her late. I’m going to go with 1/2u on Charlotte having a better finishing position than Bayley. -134 at non-US Sportsbook (Americans: Bet at BetOnline).
And honestly – i think that’s all I’ve got.
Looking at the favourites – I think Alexa is busy with her stuff with The Fiend and Orton so I’d take her out. That leaves Bianca or Rhea. Meltzer says he thinks Rhea Ripley would be a good pick to win so I’ll go with a 1/4u bet on Rhea to win at +350. Nice value because we get out $ back if Rhea isn’t an entrant.
Mens Royal Rumble: The two favourites are Daniel Bryan and Edge, and I feel it’s fine to go with one of them. Bryan is the favourite but it seems weird that they have had him lose a couple of matches lately if they are planning on having him go against Roman.
I also think Bryan needs the fans to really elevate him there and of course he doesn’t have that.
Based on the fact that Orton looks like he is tied up at Wrestlemania, I will go with 1/2u on Edge to win at +225. I really liked his promo. We could see similar booking with Edge that we saw with HBK in 2010 of course. I think that is actually a strong possibility. However I will go with Edge to win at that price.
If you want an outsider hey maybe they pull the trigger on Big E.
Just a few fun Rumble prop bets I am making to make things interesting. Of course I have put work into these too. Up to you if you wish to follow or not. If so you can bet them at non-US Sportsbook (Americans: Bet at BetOnline). I generally do 1/4u or 1/8u on these depending on odds and belief.
Bet all prop bets at non-US Sportsbook (Americans: Bet at BetOnline).
