WWE Wrestlemania 26 XXVI Betting Tips

Wrestlemania is WWE’s marquee event and this year is celebrating is the 26th iteration of the show. The show has gotten big enough to the point that many sportsbooks are now offering betting odds on the event. There are some interesting odds on this event that is being headlined by the Career vs. Streak match between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker. Last year these two put on the match of the year and this year they will be looking to top that with the stakes raised.

Since this is Wrestlemania that isn’t the only big match on the card. John Cena takes on Batista for the WWE title, Edge takes on Chris Jericho for the World Heavyweight title and Bret Hart makes his surprising return to WWE to take on Vince McMahon. That match probably won’t be pretty, but it should be interesting as Bret Hart makes his in-ring return after many years away. The odds on that one don’t really make it worth betting on though.

Rounding out the card is Miz and the Big Show taking on R-Truth and John Morrison; Ted Dibiase, Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton in a three-way match, CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio and Triple H vs. Sheamus round out the card.

Wrestlemania 26 Betting Tips & Analysis:

Definitely some interesting lines here and some great places to find value bets. Let’s take a closer look at the matches and find some money-making opportunities.

John Cena(-410) vs Batista(+290): I would bet my house that John Cena wins this match, but at -410 I’d rather not bet my money. John Cena is going to win though, for sure.

The Undertaker(-430) vs Shawn Michaels(+310): The Undertaker always wins at Wrestlemania. Always. It’s time for Shawn Michaels to ride off into the sunset.

Edge(-210) vs Chris Jericho(+160): With Bret Hart, John Cena and Undertaker as sure thing bets, Edge’s status as a good guy winning his match seems in jeopardy. A great Wrestlemania has ups and downs and that means a few bad guys win too. Plus, this feels like a Chapter 1 in the Edge/Chris Jericho story. Give me the bad guy, bet Chris Jericho.

Bret Hart(-3000) vs Vince McMahon(+1300): This is Bret Hart’s retirement match where he gets to go out on top instead of how he went out in WWE back in 1997. He’s winning.

Big Show/Miz(-555) vs John Morrison/R-Truth(+365): This one feels like R-Truth and Morrison were put together just to get a match on the show. Meanwhile, The Big Show and Miz are a major cog in the tag team division. Can’t justify betting the underdog and can’t risk laying the -555. No, thank you.
Triple H(-400) vs Sheamus(+280): This match was seemingly set-up to give Triple H someone to beat at Wrestlemania. That sounds bad, but when one of the guys in the match is the owner’s son-in-law that’s how it goes. Triple H wins this one.

Randy Orton (-150) or Ted Dibiase (+110) vs Cody Rhodes(+110): The end of Legacy has led us here to this match. While this should be a match that could help elevate Cody Rhodes or Ted Dibiase, the story just hasn’t been told that way. Randy Orton is the leader and now he’s done with these guys and now he’ll beat them. Grab him before this line moves. Bet Randy Orton.

CM Punk(-215) vs Rey Mysterio(+165): CM Punk’s run as the Straight Edge Savior has been a hit with both fans and critics alike. He has gotten epic boos in every arena he goes and is one of the most hated men on the WWE roster. So, why is he favorited here? Big bad guys like him are built to be destroyed by underdog good guys and there is no greater WWE good guy than Rey Mysterio. Bet Rey Mysterio.
